Here Comes Summer

A quiltie made for a swap on unlimitedtextiles :

The quiltie measures 7″ x 7″, the ground being white linen.  The flower is from a vintage tablecloth which I backed with red organza and then appliquéd to the base.  The leaves were cut from cotton fabric and applied in the same way.  The sky and earth are hand dyed scrim.  Lots of hand stitching all done in the garden – on our three days of summer ;).
